Feathery Oval Placemats: Crochet pattern

These placemats are made with the crochet Feather stitch, worked in the round. Any lighter weight cotton can be used from fingering to sport, but I think they are best with fingering weight,  and if you have some self-striping or ombre yarns they are beautiful in my opinion.   
This pattern is fully supported by instructional videos on the Loveapple Crafts Youtube channel, including a dedicated video for this pattern which shows you all the techniques you need. This is an upgrade of the previous version of this pattern, making the increases much simpler and adding the technique of invisible joins to make the edging seamless.
