Ripples and Linen Placemats

These placemats are made with regular crochet ! You just need a 3.25-4mm hook and some fingering to light sport weight yarn, and a bit of spare time. I love using hand-died yarn for these to enhanced their textured look. Linen stitch and ripple stitch are both simple, and there are links to instructional videos in the pattern, as well as photos of any new techniques.
